Alternative to get_ticks() of QNX2, in QNX4

Hi,
I need to know if we have an alternative in QNX4, for the get_ticks() function of QNX2.

If not, has anybody implemented the similar functionality of the get_ticks()? that is a clock which is independent of the system clock.
