netboot on 6.2.1

Hi guys, I downloaded the Neutrino RTOS 6.2.1 and installed it on my computer. I’d like to use that computer to boot up a notebook by network boot. So I looked for netboot…but I found no clue for the tool in my installation…not even on the online repository…I’d like to know if I would be able to use netboot with my installation?

Any help is sincerely appreciated!

Look for bootp, netboot is to my knowledge QNX4 only

thank you for the hint, but neither could I find bootp on my computer. Would it be it any package?

If you are running the commercial version, you will find it.

You should probably download QNX 6.3, which is a full version.

oh I forgot to mention that my 6.2.1 is non-commercial

by the way, I found nowhere to download Neutrino 6.3 on qnx.com beside the momentics 6.3 evaluation

Neutrino 6.3 is the momentic 6.3 evaluation. For the first 30 days you get the professionnel version and after that it becomes the non-commercial.

thank you guys, I’ve got my 6.3 eval up and running

I think I’ve got everything installed but I still found nowhere for the bootp server. I only have the help pages for bootp and bootptab…
and there is no repository in the cd…any idea?

Look at dhcpd and /etc/dhcpd.conf. You will also want to enable tftp in /etc/inetd.conf and start inetd. All standard UNIX stuff.
