I’m installing 4.24 from floppy, installation goes fine - but when you
reboot right at the end, no keyboard - or at least when you try to login
nothing you type appears on screen even ctrl-alt-shift-del doesn’t
work
the keyboard obviously works fine during the installation routine and
there’s no indication of any problems.
on rebooting qnx says “1105MHz 586/587 pci bus modules” ?
I once had a similar problem with photon (no mouse, no keyboard!) on a
specific motherboard, but I can not remember which one (company). After
change of motherboard (other provider) it worked. Check the support page
of QSSL (http://support.qnx.com) which kinds of motherboard are
supported. Try an exchange of motherboard ! Normally
it should work … good luck

I got one of those Soyo 5EMA boards working although I think it was not
exactly the same one. The problem I had was the keyboard/mouse controller
could not be initialized properly. My recollection was I just reinstalled
and told the install program I had no mouse and then it worked. The mouse
would still work under photon, presumably using a different driver. It was
OK for my needs at the time so I just left it that way.
If you need a more elegant solution I think you can find something about
known problems with some keyboard/mouse controllers in the readme printouts
that came in the box with the disks.

That’s it - thank you.
Soyo ETEQ socket 7 AGP chipset
ATX SY-5EMA v1.1
qnx4 mouse driver locks up the keyboard
I’m told the ETEQ is a rebadged VIA chipset but I doubt it because we
switched to a board using VIA chips and its working fine.
