Now that the new encryption algorithm patches have been released, I
think it’s a good time to upload the latest samba binaries which use
this algorithm as well.
The binaries are in my home dir at QUICS and I’ve dropped the
<freesoft@qnx.com> team a note. The usual coarse of action after that
is: when they hopefully get a chance to validate it, they will move it
to a public place.
The usual “disclaimers”, “use at your own risk”, yada yada, that are
applicable to free software, holds here also.
I’m following this thread with interest as we have several remote sites
that use SAMBA to connect an NT box to their QNX server. PHB
(dilbertizm) would like to use win2000 at some point.
I tried the 2.04b QNX binaries with win2000 but kept getting an RPC
could run error.

Are there were any plans to port the SAMBA software over to the QRTP?
Thanks.

Really? Is it available from the get.qnx.com page? I was there this
morning ( 9 am EST ) and
I didn’t see any immediate notice saying it was ready. I will have to
check and see.
Thanks.

Don’t confuse people. Final release is scheduled for september AFAIK.
What available now (and only for selected beta sites) is preview
release, which is intended to get rid of those little silly problems
which always creep into…
