LinkSys Fast Ethernet 10/100

Is the Linksys Fast Ethernet 10/100 PCMCIA Model NP100 supported by any QNX
4 and/or Neutrino drivers?

The last time I looked there was no QNX 4 support.
I don’t know about NTO.

I don’t actually have one of these cards in front of me, so could you
tell me what chipset is used on that card? Then I can give you a
better answer.

Hi Chris

I have an unopened box in front of me. There is not indication on the
outside what kind of chip is in here.

Considereing Mitch’s response I think that I’ll just return it.

On my Etherfast 10/100 Lan card I find the following info on the
Big chip:

LynkSys
LNE100TX
LC82C169
9826
AN2209.1

BTW, I’ve had excellent luck with the NETGEAR FA310TX cards,
which are cheep. If you are interested in top of the line
with continuing support, then of course there are the
Corman cards.

So I did some reading on this chipset this morning. SEems that LinkSys
has released 3 different cards under this same name. The first used the
tulip chipset from Digital. Then they moved from that to another company’s
chipset. Finally they made thier own chipset and are using that now. The
tulip version should be supported, but I am not sure about the other two.
I am pretty sure that the current one is not supported. Where did you guys
get these cards?

I got mine at Fry’s Electronics in San Jose.
