Help: Photon won't load!

Help!
I’ve got a QNX 4 system that has just started having loading problems. The
system reaches the point of loading photon, I can see the screen flashing a bit,
then it hangs. The system worked previously and I have no idea how it got in
it’s current state. Does anybody have an idea as to what I should look at to
see why photon won’t load? I can get the altsys loaded (pressing escape at boot
time) to come up in a full screen. I do see some error messages flashing by
right before photon loads, but they go by very quickly and I can’t read them.
Are these messages saved in a file somewhere?

I had an issue once with the graphics drivers on my QNX box. I could
altboot, log in, and run photon without problems. But when I tried to boot
directly into Photon, it wouldn’t work. What I did to get it to work was go
into the sysinit file and “export LOGNAME=root” in the export section.
Then, when it starts up the graphics driver, it thought I was root and was
able to run. So, what I guess I should’ve done was check the permissions on
the file…

try to redirect all output to a file
(e.g. prefix -A /xyzFile=/dev/console or ‘… > /xyzFile’)
