Hi,

My name is Micke Langberg I work for a consultat firm in sweden.
I have made implementations of DeviceNet and other fieldbuses
by writing code from hardware layer to application layer.

I suggest you start with the example code for DeviceNet
from Allen Bradley, and then modify that for your platform.

I did that with the ControlNet Stack it took me 6 months.

Before that I implemented the DeviceNet stack from scratch using
the Specification only. That took over a year.

Do you know how much are the costs for these ‘example sources’??

and then modify that for your platform.

Are your DeviceNet sources available as commercial product?
Was it written for a micro controller?

We sell a driver to the Hilscher CIF series of fieldbus cards. This
includes CANOpen and DeviceNet, in ISA, PCI and PC/104 formats. The
same driver works for DeviceNet, CANOpen, Profibus, ControlNet, SDS,
Interbus-S and Modbus Plus. If you use this driver, you can change
networks without changing your software at all.
