Hardware MPEG encoder driver?

What mode is your screen in? If you are in a 256 color mode,
a pallette mode, and I presume that MPEG comes out as a 24bit
pixels, the amount of processing that the Photon driver has
to do is non-trivial. Short of building a 2^^24 byte translation
table, some kind of interpolation must be done for each pixel.
