IBM Thinkpad 560 & photon

Hi,

I just acquired one (cost me $300). QNX works fine on it, but was wondering
if a photon display driver existed that would support 800x600 for the LCD
display. I have no idea what chipset the IBM think pad used for the 560
however.

Any help would be appreciated…

Thanks,

Kevin

Will probably work in VGA mode.

Thanks Mario,

It’s interesting because it shows different resolutions that I can select,
but when it goes to switch into that new mode, it stays in 640x480, yet
displays the timout dialog to switch back to what it was.

Ideas?

Thanks
Kevin

Kevin:

I have had a 560 for years and when I use it with Photon I only get 640x480
resolution, which is disappointing.

Someone told me a while ago that the chipset is Chips & Technologies, but
modified by IBM. At the time I could find no better driver (in Photon) for it.

I will be very interested in how you do. Perhaps in the interim QSSL have
produced a better driver which will work…I don’t know.

Good luck,

Barry
