We are currently doing projects that use VxWorks and run on MVx604
boards (which contain the PowerPC 604e processor). The powers that be
are looking into a cheaper RTOS to run on the same boards. So my
questions are:
Does QNX support Motorola boards like the MV2604 that are akin to
the BSP provided by WRS? Or does one need to write our own BSP or get
one from a third party?
If there is a way to run an a MV2604, how easy is it to setup QNX
compared to setting up VxWorks?

Don’t know the answer to #1; but assuming there is a BSP for QNX (and working in a VxWorks shop) I can tell you that QNX RtP is definately easier to use, since it is a fully self hosted environment (unlike VxWorks).
QRTP self hosted on PowerPC??? To my knowledge it
only self host on x86
What I meant was will QNX allow for code to initialize and then run on
a MV2604 board as the target. The host will, of course, be running on a
PC.
