How do I set up tcpip for a static IP?

I am having trouble setting up QNX RTP with my @home cable modem. I do
have a static IP and nettrap can see my 3com509. It seems like the
network cfg util in photon only supports dynamic IPs. I would like to
bypass the network cfg util and just set it up manually. I have done
this before on QNX 4 but I am not sure if its exactly the same. QNX4
had a routedefault.txt file for the gateway, but I dont see a similar
file in RTP. If someone could give me some pointers, I would greatly
appreciate it.

Thanks
Geez

Before you buy.

You can specify the IP address in the cfg util.
The gateway is also available in the cfg util.

If all else fails:

slay io-net

io-net -del509 -pttcpip if=en0:X.X.X.X,default=Y.Y.Y.Y

Where X.X.X.X is your static ip address.
Y.Y.Y.Y is your gateway’s address (default route).

You can get your current el509 options from ‘pidin ar’.
