Qnx install

How do I force QNX to install onto a non QNX formated partition without
erasing the partition (and possibly corrupting my partition table) first?
I can format/initialize the partition to a file system that it can recognize
but I don’t know how. I’m using the free downloaded version burned onto
a cdrom.

You can describe partition as Qnx (type 77).
Qnx will format partition before it install.

Hi Luke,

You can install QNX on a FAT32 Partition without formatting it, and without
modifying the MBR. The QNX install will create a Partition image on your
FAT32 partition to simulate a real partition and will use MENUS functions in
the Config.sys file to allow you to boot the QNX image partition.

If you have Windows installed, use fdisk to erase the partition.

If you have Linux installed, use fdisk to erase the partition.

If you have QNX4 installed, use fdisk to erase the partition.

You can see where this is going.

Andrew

How easy is it to remove the QNX if you decide not to keep it?
