I want to try out QNX and I’m wondering what the minimum PC hardware
would be to install it on (not necessaryly with GUI, CLI is fine by me).
Would any old 386 be enough? What about RAM?

I am assuming you are talking about QRTP (Qssl has two OSes and
very often they are both called QNX).
QRTP is geared toward a development environment, it will probably
boot with 16Meg but you won’t be able to do much.
On the other QNX4 will happily run on 16M
