PPPoE Support in QNX

Hi, I have DSL using PPPoE and I would like to know if someones knows a
pppoe client suitable for QNX or any other way to make my DSL work under
QNX/Neutrino… I tried rp-pppoe from David Skoll but it doesn’t work under
QNX and porting it would be a hughe workout and I don’t think I have the
programming knowledge to do so.

So, if anyone can provide me with a link to a pppoe client or simply a hint
on setting rp-pppoe under QNX , it would be hughely appreciated!

Thanks a lot,
Philippe Lamalice

The solution I have seen to this is to go out and buy a $150 486
machine and install Linux or BSD. Make this into a gateway/firewall
doing the PPPoE, and then run QNX/Neutrino normally, naming the
firewall as its gateway. I have no idea how hard porting a PPPoE
client would be. I personally like the firewall solution because it
works for all operating systems without my having to configure more
than one firewall.

Another possibility is to get the standard cable/DSL router/gateway
which is known to be good at PPPoE. Check out the UGate 3200 - this
one features 7-port 10/100 switch, so you won’t need a hub. It’s a
bit expensive ($250) though.
