Hello,

I’ve just tried to install QNX RTP on a Dell 486DX2/66 machine, but the
boot fails. The lot of dots are printed then the box restarts. Does
anybody know something about this kind of problem?

What a coincidence!

I installed it on exactly the same PC about a week ago and had the same
problem.

My install booted OK when I booted from the floppy that is created in the
install process.

I had another error once it was booted but as yet I haven’t investigated
why. (I can’t remember the exact details … it was a week ago!)

I also installed it on a Digitial P166 and got the same error as above, but
I didn’t need to use the boot disk.

Unfortunately I can’t boot from the floppy. It restarts the machine the
same way.
