Porting from PhAB 1.14 to 2.0 under RtP

I tried to import my QNX4 photon app to RtP - among other problems, the
make file used by PhAB is of course set up for Watcom C. Makefile
skills not too strong…any guidance on what the makefile should look
like?

I would highly recommend you create a new app with PhAB - just a simple one -
then look at it’s makefile.

I ported an existing app quite easily - just importing widgets one at a time
and adding appropriate callbacks etc.

then again, your make will try and make the default directory, but if you
right click against generate (i think - there somewhere anyway) you are given
the option of selecting a different target -i.e. a gcc-nto-x86 type one, so
you can keep your old makefile and maintain your app in both environments (at
least theoretically).

My app freezes under neutrino, but not under Q4, and only sometimes, so not
sure what the story is - maybe there is a few bugs that will be fixed soon!

cheers

Before you buy.

I have a project that could make great use of a slightly modified
version of the QNX demo disk.

It’s to run computers that are to be given out by a local FreeNet.

QNX doesn’t seem interested in the project.

I would like to have a Telnet client added and possible the Citrix
client. The Web server could be removed. Would this be a difficult
task?

If I download the CD ISO would this be possible for a first QNX
project?
Could someone provide instructions, or links that might help.

Thanks

The demo disk is built on the older QNX4.25, and Photon 1.14, both
of these were more mature products and it still took Dan H. to make
it work.
Photon 2.0 hasn’t been fully optimized yet, so it is still bigger then Photon 1.14.
It is doable but It would take special libraries (shrunk down).

that is easy under QNX 4.XX, but a real handful under QRP
