I’ve just installed QRTP from the downloaded iso to the FAT32 partition.
When trying to run it, I’ve seen following messages:
Neutrino technology inside!!!
…skipped…
Detected EIDE. Scanning for devices.
This can take up to 30 seconds…
simq_timer: building abort ccb
ata_start_ccb: func 10
ata_ccb_abort: calling ata_error
/.diskroot file for root not found on any filesystem.
Starting with safe mode
[4102] fs-pkg built: Sep 7 2000 16:00:23
Warning [/pkgs/base/safe-config/etc/system/package/packages] doesn’t
seem to exist
Can’t access package config file
Unable to access packages.
…and nothing else.
So what’s the poblem?

Your using the dma eide driver on a machine that we do
not currently support dma operation on. Use the non-dma
boot image.

Thank you for response. I’ve tried to use the non-dma boot image too, but no
result. I’ve seen the same messages except of:
simq_timer: building abort ccb
ata_start_ccb: func 10
ata_ccb_abort: calling ata_error
Any ideas?
I got the same error message on my Dell (Dimension XPS T800r, Intel 800mhz,
256MBram, 30GB, 32mbGeForce256,…) except for the:
: simq_timer: building abort ccb
: ata_start_ccb: func 10
: ata_ccb_abort: calling ata_error
I tried both RTP boot floppies, with no luck. What is the next step?
Do I have to change my HD to non-DMA?
Thanks.
R.
