Full install a joke;

I can’t beleive you can run anything with the floppy demo,
but try to install the big setup cd on the same system and their
software can’t support a monitor that the floppy did?
Like I’m going to toast my 190 dollar all in wonder pro to try this?
Especially when the floppy ran the all in wonder so well?
GAME OVER !!

If you wanted to be beta tester (which is why you got beta version,
right?) you should stop posting this kind of BS. The demo floppy and the
‘full install’ are 2 completely different OSes, they are as different as
Windows3.1 and Windows NT if not more, I just can’t think of a proper
analogy. Floppy was based on QNX4 which has nothing in common with
QNXRTP aside from design philosophy.

To remind you of history, Windows NT had the same initial lag of
hardware support compared to Win3x. Next patch should catch up with
floppy demo wrt video card support.

Totally agrees with Igor here!

No one asked you to be a Beta tester, Beta in it self stands for “a non
releasable product, in testing”
You have downloaded for free, what is a very expencive OS, and still you
complain?
I have the same problem with one of my computers, that previously ran the
floppy demo just fine, but I have been told that a “vanilla SVGA” driver is
in the works.
I still haven’t got a working system, still missing sound, modem and
network, but I still find QNXRtP to be the system I would prefer.
I’ll just rebuild my computer to meet the current hardware spec, or wait for
the next release (i’m going to change the NIC, sound I can live without for
a while, and I really dont need the modem)

In article 8FCFE297Dnopenopena@63.209.170.209, nope@nope.na says…

You have at first to realize that the ‘floppy demo’ is QNX4 based.

The QNX4 demo (IAT demo) is completely different to QNX RTP … they have only
in common that they don’t support monitors

Select a cheaper video controller from that list:

GAME OVER !!

QNX4 isn’t QNX RTP … GAME OVER.

ahummmmmmmmmmmm… lets see… ATI makes poor video cards
anyways…shoulda got yourself a GeForce II MX or similar for about $90
cheaper…

Alright… I looked at the get.qnx.com page, and the download page. My
search turns up no reference to “beta”.

If it is a beta, they should do a much better job of making that known.

It’s a prerelease (read: ‘beta’).

I have no doubt that QNX considers it Beta. I still can’t help but wonder how
many people have gone to get.qnx.com, given their e-mail address for the
download, downloaded and installed without realizing that it’s a beta since
there is no mention of that on any of the pages necessary to get the
downloaded version

His video card is fine. It will probably work fine in the next patch.
Don’t waste your breath making excuses for us… I don’t see anything
there but a closed mind.
