Ok, I did those exact commands and now it says I have 4 cpus! Problem is I only two. They are Xeon 2.8G and I’m using QNX6.3. Any ideas why it would double the number of processors?
Hyperthreading? This would make each CPU appear to be 2 “logical” cpus.
Don’t know… We have another unit here running 6.2.1 that correctly shows the number of CPUs as 2 but the one with 6.3 shows it as 4. The hardware is from a different manufacturer as well… It actually shows activity on all 4, which is interesting…
I could very easily be wrong, and frequently am, but I think any Xeon at that clock speed will have HT.
Could be that HT was not enable or have older CPU, it should show 4 CPUs.
