What is ".fspkg-spilled" ?

Hi

I accidentally deleted prog_guide subdirectory in /usr/help/product/photon.
When I tried to reinstall related package (Photon 2 development
documentation) very strange thing happened.
That subdir was recreated with 2 subdirs (image-lib & images) but without
any files.
These subdirs contain no files but some .fspkg-spilled structure. It’s seen
in Photon file manager but can’t
be removed, showed or listed (rm, less, ls can’t find it).
chkfsys writes that all ok. So I had to copy all help files from
corresponding /pkgs subdirs manually.
Anybody knows what is .fspkg-spilled and how to remove it?

The software and docs come from a read-only package filesystem. When you
modify or delete a file, it’s said to be spilled (i.e. you modify a copy of
the original). To get rid of the spilled version, use the pkgctl command
– see the Neutrino Utilities Reference for details. (You might want to
read the technote on the Package Filesystem if you haven’t done so already.)
