How 2 Add TCP/IP

I have a working installation of QNX with limited hard drive space.
What is the minimum set of
files needed to run TCP/IP?

Depends on what service you want to use/support.

Socket or Socklet, ifconfig, /etc/protocols, /etc/services is
the “minimum” I think.

You then need:

telnet: if you plan to telnet to somewhere else
ftp: if you plan to ftp to somewhere else
route: if you need to setup routing table
ping: if you want to ping somewhere else

and the list goes…

Hi assuming u are talking about qnx rtp (aka neutrino) you will need –
I)lean_and_mean_configuration 1) io-net 2) devm-ttcpip.so (for tiny tcp-ip
stack) 3) devn-???.so (your net card driver, devn-ne2000.so is good for
all, run nettrap for exact driver) 4) inetd 5) telnetd 6) ftpd 7) that’s
all folks II) Studd configuration 1) io-net 2) devm-tcpip.so (full tcp-ip
stack) 3) devn-??? (same old funda…) 4) ifconfig 5) route 6) telnetd
7) ftpd :sunglasses: inetd

common among all of them are the configuration files… look into the rtp
help regarding configurations and if u bump into any problems just call me
out…

happy qnxing
