I would like to connect the compuserve
by using dial-up modem in QNX4.
I think that compuserve has a differenct protocol of dial-up networking.
Has anyone been to connect the compuserve on dialer in QNX 4.
Please let me know how to connect the compuserve in the non-windows O.S.

Yep. But it has been about 3 years since I did it and I don’t have that
configuration any more.
I got the login sequence using a serial protocol analyzer and it works
for both QNX4 (or other Unix ppp).
From memory (ie, not responsible for outcome):
To “Host Name:” you reply “CIS” where is carriage return/^M
To “User ID:” “[user id]/go:pppconnect”
To "Password: " “[password]”

The problem with compuserve’s login procedure is that it requires one to
switch from 7e2 to 8n1 bit format half way through.
You can use qtalk set to 7e2, and do the login bit, then quit qtalk and start
pppd.
Or, with linux I use the dip utility for dialing/loggin-in/starting pppd,
which, in theory should be makeable on QNX4, although I haven’t tried.
