[QNX Newbie Q] What is needed to develop for QNX?

Hi all,

this is maybe a little bit a stupid question, however up to
now I saw once the operating system including a window-
system being installed from one floppy. That’s all I know
about QNX, not to much …

I need to port a special communication protocol which I wrote
for Windows95/98 and NT for serial port communication.
The code is in C and C++

I generated a DLL under Windows and I used a TclTk interpreter
to show the customer the basic usage of the COMDLL. Now the
question:

  • What is needed to port this COMDLL into a QNX library for the
    same functionality. How would you solve such a job?

Any ideas, hints and tips would be appreciated.

You will need to supply more details about the ‘special communication
protocol’ before anyone can give you much help. Down load QRTP and load
it as a first step.
