I have QNX 4.22 system, I would like to be able to ftp the qnx machine from
a windows machine. Ive installed some tcp/ip software for qnx, plus I can
ping the qnx machine with my windows machine. Is there software built in so
I can ftp the pc or do I need additional software? In the /etc directory , I
see ftpusers, ftpd , are these files specific for client or serving
purposes. as you can see I’m not a rocket scientist with this stuff so any
help is greatly appreciated.
ftpuser holds a list of logins that are disallowed. What happens when
you try to ftp?

Never mind I got it to work. If any of you are in the controls field you’ve
probably heard of pcview 5.1 or 5.2 interface to Bailey control. This
software runs on qnx 4,22. To get the FTP to work I had to install 3 disks.
TCP/IP disks 1 and 2 this loads the socket stuff. Then I had to load a disk
1node TCP-LINK disk. I guess this licenses the connection somehow,Until I
loaded the last disk , the socket and bciTCPAgent services did not start.
… I have files that are bigger than 1.44 Megs so I had to find an
alternative to transfering bigger files from windows pc to the qnx machine.
