Stand alone OS system?

Is there anybody out hear that has successfully installed qnx rts
on a computer with one hard drive and NO existing operating system?
Burned the iso image checked the cd in win98 all seems fine but
after all the formatting and file install routines the reboot is
a real joke,
errors everywhere, temp file couldn’t be found,
plenty of space for one too,
but it hangs in the creation proccess.
I’m getting a gut feeling this isn’t going to fly with out the help of
Bill Gates.

I have it standalone.

I have never run RtP any other way than stand alone.

I have it stand-alone also and it installed without any difficulty on
several machines. Everything worked “out of the box” as it were.

Perhaps you should post the errors you are receiving as well as your
hardware configuration.

Yes. I even installed it to a non-bootable CD-ROM computer (an old Dual
P-150 Pro system) after
using the iso and Winsucks to create a boot floppy. It installed and ran
great but only in single
CPU…a quick kernel make and it is running the SMP version.

I had the same problem, but I figured out the it was the ISO image
giving me all the trouble. Make sure that qnxrtp.iso file is
256 MB after download. If is not then your DL is corrupt.

Once I got the file correctly, the install worked without flaw.
