Installing serial card under QNX version 2. How?

Does anyone know how to install a multi-port serial card under QNX version
2.

What drivers do you need and what steps do have to follow to get it work.

Thanks in advance.

If the card is a “dumb” card, that is it’s just a bunch of
8250, 16450 UART’s, then you use the program osconfig to
create a config file that is passed to the boot command. In
this program you indicate which base addresses to scan at
startup. After booting, you can enable interrupts for these
UARTS with the stty command, for example.

$ stty into=3

If you are using a smart serial port card, the manufactorer
will provided a driver which can be loaded at any time.

I still have some QNX 2.2 systems running with these. I’ll bet that
they still have QNX 2 drivers available
