Hello All,
Just purchased a router for my cable modem and was wanting to hook up my Q4
and QNXRTP boxes to the internet. I have the router configured as a DHCP
server. What do I need to do in Q4 to automatically get an IP from the
router? Currently I just have hardcoded IPs.
TIA,
Jim
dhcp.client is the utility that configures your interface. See the on-line
docs for that utility. Older versions would auto-start Socket, newer
versions I think require that Socket started before. dhcp.client would
replace the ifconfig lines in the /etc/netstart.
I would back up my TCP/IP config before trying this utility because it will
cause configuration changes that may get saved to disk.
