I build one system on cf card,I found when I change the mode of CF card to LBA mode in BIOS,the system can’t boot, but if I change it to CHS mode,it can boot successfully,Does qnx NOT support LBA mode of cf card?
There is some weird shit with LBA. I’m not sure on this but I get the strong impression that LBA is not actually used by any bootloader. If you are trying to boot from the drive then you have to have the CHS totals of the BIOS match the CHS totals in the partiton table.
Fdisk type programs suffer a similar legacy mentality. I wonder if SATA is improving the situation? I guess not since even booting from SCSI will have to suffer this, right?
