unkillable process?

qcc hangs and the process becomes “unkillable”

bash-2.04$ ps -af|grep 119173208
101 119173208 119169108 - Jan02 ? 00:00:00 qcc -Vgcc_ntoppcbe -ordsn oneWire.c ds2401.c
101 119177305 119173208 - Jan02 ? 00:00:00
bash-2.04$ kill -9 119173208
bash-2.04$ ps -af|grep 119173208
101 119173208 119169108 - Jan02 ? 00:00:00 qcc -Vgcc_ntoppcbe -ordsn oneWire.c ds2401.c
101 119177305 119173208 - Jan02 ? 00:00:00

I have two different qnx development boxes and it only happens on one of them.

Unless someone has a good idea/suggestion I am going to reboot and see if the problem clears up.

By default I belive that make will run qcc down a priority level (normally
that would mean it runs at 9). So there is probably something on your machine
running READY on a level above 9 that is preventing qcc from actually dying.

pidin | grep READY
pidin | grep qcc
