Text Editor for QNX 6.1

Anyone have a good text editor for use with Neutrino? On UNIX systems, I
like vi, but it seems squirrely on QNX. If I invoke it from a terminal
window, sometimes it works fine, but mostly the text is re-arranged and
unreadable. I’ve set term=vt100 and I still have unpredictable results.
Anything better? I don’t like the photon editor; we are using a fairly slow
processor and the photon editor is just too sluggish.

Thanks,

Try vim from the CD 3r party. You even get gvim for the same price.

vi should work fine.

I use it all the time…but if the terminal you specify doesn’t match
the actual terminal type implemented, things won’t look right.

TERM=vt100 probably isn’t correct.

When you say a “terminal window” what do you mean? pterm? A dial-in
terminal? Something else?
