Mike,
We use a SSV Dual Controller. Yes, this is a German company. There is
also a driver available from Steinhoff. Yes, this is a German company.
board and driver(s) are sold as package for QNX!
Mike, STEINHOFF is offering 2 different PC/104 CAN boards for QNX4.25
and QNX 6.2., for one or dual channel CAN controllers. The boards are
available for normal as well as for extended temperature range.
Info at http://www.steinhoff-automation.com/can.htm
If anyone needs 3 channels for CAN, so Kit can offer it all together in
a PIP8 box from MPL. It’s an interesting solution, used already in
industy !
BTW, any other PC/104 Fieldbus boards (PROFIBUS, INTERBUS, ASI, LON) are
running fine in that PIP8 box under QNX, too
However, we could resell both to you, as we have done for other
customers of ours.
Yes, Kit has experience with it and can even offer support
SIP Inc. is distributing also DACHS products. Please, feel free to
contact Kit or Gunnar Buzzard <gwb@yak.vme.com> for commercial issues.
All DACHS customers can get additional direct support from Germany!
Mike, you are from the CMU… one of our first DACHS CAN drivers (QNX4)
were already running in California Path, the CMU was also involved…
Cheers,
Jutta

Hey folks,
Does anyone know of any companies (preferably in the US) that carry
CAN modules in PC104 or PC104+ format and support QNX 6.x? I haven’t
had any luck finding anyone in the US that supports QNX.. Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Our time tables don’t have
the time needed to develop our own driver for one of these cards, and
it’s easier for us to purchase from the US or Canada. Although any
overseas suggestions would also be appreciated.
Thank you,
Mike
