When Photon is not running, the only editors available in QNX 6 are qed and
elvis (vi). There is nothing similar to vedit.
Is it correct?
If no, what are the other QNX 6 non-Photon editors?
Thank you,
Yuriy

W/o Photon I use Midnight Commander… it has pretty good editor with syntax highlights.
Eduard.
We use vim with a set of keydefs that make it quite similar to vedit (F2,
F3, F5, F6, F7, F8, F9 etc)

Try the jed-editor from the third-party cd. Except mouse-support where is
almost everything you need(including syntax highlighting).

NEdit and SciTE available

Thank you,

imho, jed is the best one. it emulates emacs, which
is the only right editor
if you use jed, you can be sure your skills won’t
fade into oblivion since emacs isn’t going to die
and it’s available on any unix
