Initial username/password?

Installed QNX 4.23a but didn’t write down the initial username/password.
Can someone lend a hand and let me know what it is?

Thanks!

Bill

root is the login, there is no initial passwd.

Sure, it’s user “root”, with no password. Unless when you installed it you
changed it… If that’s the case you can reset
the passwd back to none, but I’ll skip that suggestion unless you actually
need it.

On a new install the username is ‘root’ and there is no password for it.

check the passwd under /etc , then you will get the all user name of

your system on the first column , the second column is for password
use ( blank means no password , x mean you have password on this user
, you have check the shadow file).

passwd >> username:haspw:userid:group:coment:homedir:shell

And " passwd username "can change the password .

hope useful
