Hi there in QNX land,
In the Photon1.14/QNX4.25 help GUI there is a reference to a
‘Development Utilities reference’ under the Efsys.file help screen. At
the bottom of the screen the ‘See Also:’ section there is a reference to
the ‘romqnx’ command. When I attempt to look at this location an error
window is displayed. Photon does not seem to have a link to this
reference nor do I have any type of manual for this ‘Development
Utilities reference’. Is there such a manual or where can I get
information on the ‘Development Utilities reference’?

The reference you are refering to is the Utilities Reference — A to M and the
link to romqnx is to the Utilities Reference — N to Z entry for it. This is
all in the qnx4.25 docs, of which I have patch C installed and Photon1.14.
Does the file /usr/help/product/qnx425/utils/romqnx.html exist?

The file http://support.qnx.com/support/docs/qnx4/utils/r/romqnx.html exist. I
was trying to find a way to put the romqnx, mkffs and mkcis commands together too
make a flash. Seems that part of the book is missing.

A few questions for you:
Are you referring to your own set of docs (under /usr/help/product)
or the ones on our web site? (As I recall, there was one version of the
QNX 4 Utilities Reference that had a broken link in it. It has since
been fixed.)
What is the full pathname of the Efsys.file docs that has the bad link?

The application error displays the following message
Bad Link: …/…/qnx2qnxnto/utilities/romqnx.html
(As I recall, there was one version of the

What is the full pathname of the Efsys.file docs that has the bad link?

That alone makes me think you have an old set of docs. You should see if
you’re missing an update.
