"intstat not set" from Fsys.aha2scsi using QNX 4.25

I’m migrating from a Dell Inspiron 7000 to a Dell Inspiron 8000. I installed
QNX 4.25 from the June 2000 release CD. My pcmcia-based scsi Zip has worked
on the 7000 and I’d like it work on the 8000. Using the command
“pcmciastart trap” produces an error message stating that the -a option is
unknown. The use info from Pcmcia.generic indeed does not list an -a option
so it must have been removed from the latest driver.

Running the Fsys.aha2scsi command below eventually begins spewing out a
message
stating “intstat not set”. During the driver initialization the Zip drive is
in fact correctly identified and a scsi0 entry appears in /dev. I can also
mount -p the zip and use Dosfsys and Fsys.dos to view the drive. Throughout
this,
however, whatever console I’m on gets a continuous stream of “intstat not
set”
messages making normal use of the computer somewhat difficult. What is
Fsys.aha2scsi
complaining about?

I’ve included what I hope may be useful info to the informed
pcmcia/Fsys.aha2scsi
wizard and would appreciate any help I can get.

Output from pin after running Pcmcia.generic:

Is it possible that irq 11 is being used by another adapter? Did you
reserve irq 11 in the BIOS? Can you post the output from show_pci -v?

I use ‘Pcmcia.generic -i0 &’ to load the pcmcia generic driver without using
interrupts. I see yours is using irq 5.
