qwindows in photon

Hi!
Where is gr.phi?
Help me.

rather than run QWindows inside of photon, i would recommend using the
Scitech drivers… that support more video modes.

please email beta@qnx.com and they can set you up to receive the
drivers.

qwinph is really handy sometimes, Randy. Is this a dead product
now?

agreed on its handiness.
it is not dead but effectively plateaued… (is that the same as dead?)
it had unworkable problems though with mouse input that made it behave
differently than a native QWindows session. still usable but in many cases
too different…

I guess “dead” is what QSSL does with it now. I would be happy to see
qwinph documented as “unsupported - do not use in a production
environment”, shoved onto /usr/free, and then have all questions
either ignored or referred to that document. I would hate to see it
become inaccessible to people who need it as a stop-gap for
maintenance or internal use.

You could do what other companies do: if you can’t maintain it,
open-source it.

Cheers,
Andrew
