Hi,
I was looking through the options for Fsys, just wondering if the -I option
is good to use. Does it help prevent corruptions (like lost links) or might
it cause more problems?
TX!

that is an uppercase ‘i’ btw, “Never embed innode information in
directories - always place in a fixed size ‘.inodes’ file.”

I don’t recall this having been recommended for this purpose.
The usual advice is to set -d0, or at least not a large number.
In extreme cases (lots of disk writes) setting -c small may help,
although I’m not sure why.

When the size of disk cache is large “-c” is can take several seconds from
when the disk starts flushing cache until it finishes.
