SIS 630 Video

Most of the latest Notebooks (guess 80% of the low-price models) come with
this SIS6xx Chipsets. The Video SIS630 uses up to 64MB shared RAM. Any
Photon 1.14 support available or planned in the near future?

I tried the SIS630 video with the flat drivers and it works ok for me with a
1024x768 resolution. Even the performance seems to be ok.

Hi Mike,

Currently there are no plans to create an accelerated driver for Photon
1.14 for the SIS630 chipset. However the graphics DDK for Photon 2.0
is very similar to that of Photon 1.14. So creating a driver (if you
have the specs) would be possible. You could create the driver under
Photon 2.0 then take the code and compile it on QNX 4.25.

Another solution would be to get a custom engineering request from
your sales rep.

However, like you have found, you can also use the flat driver.
