Silent booting of QNX

Hi!

We are in need of silent booting QNX configuration. We downloaded silent
loader from contributed software link of QSSL’s support page. With the help
of those, we could hide messages of QNX loder. We then tried to invoke all
the device drivers in quiet mode. Now when the system boots up, it only
displays following line :

Press Esc for alternate OS…

Is it possible to disable this message?

Thanks in advance…

Regards,
Krupa

take a look at “-m” option for dinit utility.

Yes, kind of. Look at the ‘dinit’ utility. There is a ‘-M’ option that
lets you specify what that text is. Just set it to a blank string. Make
sure you also use the ‘-b’ option or you will re-initialize your partition.

You can not, however, remove the effect of hitting the key.

That should be ‘-m’ not ‘-M’. (lower-case m).
