we use Intel(R) PRO/100 S Desktop Adapter NICs with Net.ether82557 driver
and it works fine at 100Mbit/full duplex.

There is support for the 3Com 905 card, but I haven’t heard of a 590.

Hi Dave,

The 590 is a new card if I remember correctly. At this time we don’t
have support for this chipset.

Duno about support but we use sucessfuly Net.ether905 and Net.ether509 for
our pci, isa bus boards.
