Boot after installation

This problem was mentioned 3 times on this newsgroup, but always without
expected results - after installation QNX 4.25E on Toshiba 4600 laptop
(on 4300 works fine), QNX when starting from HD hangs up after second
dot. The same .boot file from floppy - works fine.
Commonly answer - check drive geometry in BIOS - but there isn’t this
kind of information in Toshiba BIOS, and IMO fdisk shows correct
parameters (10GB drive, 255 heads, 1222 cylinders, 63 sec/track). QNX
partition starts on 510th cylinder.
QNX 6 boots fine.

Any ideas?

You can try to install the OS manually, and when you dinit the drive
pass -O option to dinit for the old loader. That may help.

It doesn’t work as well.
Now I’ve got QNX6 loader installed - symptom the same - loading of the .boot
file stops after second dot.
What are the differences between QNX6 and QNX4 in system kernel laoding? Why
QNX6 and Win’98 works well and QNX4 doesn’t?
