popper for TCP/IP 5.0

We upgraded to TCP/IP 5.0 and choose not to implement the qcrypt patch.
However, we have found popper does not authenticate properly without the patch
loaded.

Is there a 5.0 version of popper available that works with the original QNX
encryption method?

Thanks,
Tony Williams

No,unfortunately, the security patch must be applied before the upgrade to
Tcp/IP 5.0 for authenication to work for popper (and other applications).

“must” is probably not correct. I think most of the services (telnetd,
ftpd ) works fine. You included both versions and install one as default
depending on if you have qcrypt patch installed. My guess is you probably
forgot about popper because it is less popular than telnetd/ftpd
