running a program written in QNX2 on a QNX4 system

I have a program written for QNX2 (no source code available) my old hardware
is killing me!!! and trying to move QNX2 to todays faster machines is a NO!
NO! (so I’ve heard)

If I buy new hardware and QNX4 how good a probability do I have that this
program will run? It uses an Arcnet to talk to another QNX computer. Has a
485 communications as a backup for the Arcnet and talks to a General
Electric Fanuc PLC interface card.

Zero chance; the executable formats are different. How complicated is the
program?

You can still buy some 486 SBC.

None what so ever. QNX2 is not binary compatible with QNX4.
It is not even source compatible.

It uses an Arcnet to talk to another QNX computer. Has a

Electric Fanuc PLC interface card.
