HELP: Backing up more than 2Gb trashes my QNX4 system???

Hi All,

I’m trying to make a backup greater than 2 GB. I reach the limit of 2GB and
the my system gets trashed. Does anybody know what is going on???

Regards,

Freddy

Define trashed.

Try backing up in two or more parts. I found that the /usr directory is a
good dividing point.

Trashed = corrupted file system which results in fresh installation.

Could you be a little more specific about what mean by
making a backup. Normally when you backup a system,
you are coping the contents to another device, disk or
tape. Since this involves only read access, it is hard
to understand how that could corrupt a disk.
