SDT-9000 12/24G DAT tape drive

Does anyone have experience installing this SDT-9000 12/24G DAT tape
drive in the QNX 4 system. The scsi driver for our controller is
Fsys.ahascsi7. The BIO recognizes the disk and the tape, but QNX listed
the DAT tape as UNKNOWN?

Thank you.

Hi,

What version of the OS are you running? I haven’t seen this tape drive
here. However the tape drive should just work.

Erick.

Not sure if this is the same person who asked the question, but what
the heck.

Take a look at the Fsys.aha7scsi driver docs and look at the -a
command line switch. I belive you can specify the unit attached
to the scsi chain there. I would also double check the termination
and if possible, see if the drive works in another system.

Erick.
