We have an IBM Thinkpad 870XL we are trying to install QNX 4 on it. The
problems have to do with: the Thinkpad will not boot from CD. We can
have the CD-ROM or the floppy drive installed but not both. When I boot
from the 4.25 floppy it starts looking for the CD for installation. If
I boot the 4.22 floppy I can not get any commands to run. Like fdisk,
mount etc.

It is not clear why you cannot boot directly from CD (without bootdisk)…

If you have a “Legacy account” on Quics, there is downloadable tarball
which can be made into a set of floppies. Or you can call QSSL to see
if they can send you a set.
