PCMCIA?

Does anyone have recommendation of a PCMCIA card
to be used with QNX425?
Does/will the new version 425G offer any new support ito
support for PCMCIA and/or Cardbus etc?

Hi Alex,

Tha latest version of QNX4 has the pccard driver, which is a backport of
the QNX6 devp-pccard. It will support both PCMCIA and CardBus cards, but
the only network driver available for CardBus cards is for 3C905
compatible network cards. This is in 4.25G. There is also an archive at
developers.qnx.com.

What PCMCIA card are you looking for? Network, modem or flash disk?

Network card of course
(Sorry, should have mentioned it, eh?)

Hi,

I have one candidate for you: “D-Link DFE-660 TX”

DFE-660 TX is a 32bit 10/100 Mbps Ethernet/Fast Ethernet CardBus.
I have made a couple of test with it in QNX 4.25 Patch G release. The new
‘pccard’ server support it very well inclusive with “hot swap” capability.

Regards,
Jacek

We support the following CardBus ethernet cards, all from 3Com:

3CXFE575BT
3CCFEM656B (modem not supported)
3C3FEM656C (modem not supported)

PCMCIA ethernet cards:

3Com 589
D-Link DE-660
LinkSys EC2T
Socket LP-E

Hope this helps.
