services tool

There is a command prompt ‘text menu’ tool used to enable/disable services
at startup (like ftpd, telnetd, inetd)
However I cant remember what it is… does anyone know??

Thanks

I don’t beleive there is such a thing under QNX4. Things like ftpd and
telnetd can be disable be editing inet.conf file. inetd can be disable but
one would need to know how it was started first

My feelig tells me you are confusing this utility with something available
on other OSes.

Thanks

it’s called “chkconfig” on redhat linux.

Nope, I came across the name of the utilty on the internet, and since I’ve
closed that page, gone… I had it running on that one occasion, I just
forgot the command… its a really cheesy text app, im sure it just edits
the inet.conf file but it was kind of handy

seems to me it had sys in it (like nt_sysc or something)
