I’m in trouble with current hardware, which is available for sale.
Celeron will be replaced with Pentium-IV soon (which doesn’t supported by
QNX4).
GeForce2 will be replaced with GeForce4 and ATI Radeon 9500 soon (which
doesn’t supported by QNX4).
We’ve decided to port our QNX4 software to Neutrino 6.2.1.
It takes us for about 2 years.
What should we do with ?
Anybody know is QSSL going to issue new updates for QNX4 (video drivers,
patches) ?
our managers are proud they made the decision to go with industrial
standard GUI (X Window) a few years ago when everybody was pushing

At least your video driver problem will be solved. Don’t know about
your P-IV concern.
2 years for migration? I am sure qnx4 can survive that long. There
are still lots of qnx2 systems out there.

There are new QNX4 video drivers available in a current Photon
Beta Patch. Included in this patch is a Pg.radeon driver. It has
been tested here with Radeon 9700 Pro and Radeon 9000, so it should
work with 9500 as well.

I’m not sure what you mean that QNX4 doesn’t support P4 - it runs just fine
(4.25, I can’t speak for earlier versions).
GeForce2 will be replaced with GeForce4 and ATI Radeon 9500 soon (which
doesn’t supported by QNX4).
As Mike said, new graphics drivers are available.

QNX4 is still useable, officially AFAIK it is suppored up to 2005 and
than QSSL will decide to continue support or not.

on www.qnx.com, you can accept beta agreement and get passord to download it.
