How to add a new 3com network card?

Dear all,

would anyone tell me how to add a new 3com network card (3c509b-TPO) with
the driver Net.ether509 on the QNX 4 system?

I was using the old DLink network card with the driver “Net.ether1000”
before, however when I used 3com network card and changed the Parameter from
“Net.ether1000” to “Net.ether509” in the file “sysinit”, the system hang up
while booting.

First of all, you must use the DOS utility that comes with the 509 adapter
and turn off Plug 'n Play. Use this same utility to set the I/O port and
interrupt. Then you can run QNX4 and start the driver ‘Net.ether509 -pport
-iirq &’ where ‘port’ and ‘irq’ are what you setup in the DOS utility.
